The Scot-Indians Cricket Club (SICC) was formed in 2006 by leading Indian Community in Scotland.
SICC gives an oppurtunity to all the Indians as well as other nationals who are fanatic about cricket.
The club currently have over 35 registered members.
Our season spans a period of 19 weeks starting in the last week of April, ending in the first week of September.
During the season club members practise 3 days a week and participate in the tounament competitions over the weekend,
evening leagues and Glasgow(T-20) cup matches.
In the very first season of the formation, the outstanding performance of the players promoted the club from 5th Division to the
4th Division under the Western District Cricket Union (WDCU).
The Best Batsman and the Best Bowler for the fifth division were bagged by SICC players.
SICC players also bagged the Best Batsman and Best Bowler awards for the consecutive years 2007 & 2008
and now SICC is promoted to the 3rd Division of WDCU in 2009.
The club also won the Independence Cup which was conducted by Telugu Association of Scotland (TAS) on the eve of 60th Indian Independence Day.
This shows SICC players expertise, enthusiasm and dedication towards cricket. SICC also participates in competitive and non-competitive
matches organised under the auspices of the Western District Cricket Union, its affiliates or any other organisation having similar objectives.
